As the Pokémon Worlds Championship 2025 is closing, many exciting announcements have been made, including a trailer for an upcoming set in Pokémon TCG Pocket:

Mega Evolution cards are coming this fall! In the TCG, they evolve directly from their previous evolution stage instead of evolving from the final evolution stage, as they do in the video game. They also have a special rule: when Mega Evolution ex Pokémon are knocked out, they give out 3 points to your opponent. You lose the game if any of them is taken down!
We can also see two Mega Pokémon forms from Hoenn, a fan favorite region:

When is the set getting released?
The trailer has given no set name nor release date: we just know that we'll be able to play the Mega Pokémon "this fall", which means that this expansion won't be released before at least September. It could then be the A4b set or the set after. It's likely that this Mega-themed set get released before or at the same time as the video game Pokémon Legends Z-A, the upcoming Pokémon video game for Nintendo Switch, out in October 16. This episode is taking place in the Kalos region, where the Mega Evolution phenomenon was first observed, and will introduce new Mega Evolution forms such as the recently unveiled Mega Dragonite.
