What is a Gift Code?

In Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, a gift code, also known as a promo code or a creator code, is a string of words and/or digits that will grant rewards that can be used in the game. After activating the code via the gift claiming website, the rewards will be sent to your in-game inbox.

There are two types of gift codes:

1. 15-digit, unique codes that are single-use, meaning that no two people can use the same code.
2. Custom gift codes that anybody can use. These will be posted below.

How to redeem gift codes for Pokémon TCG Pocket

To redeem your gift code, creator code or promo key, you will need to visit the following URL: https://gift.pokemontcgpocket.com/. Enter your support ID and the gift code in their respective input fields. The reward(s) will be sent to your in-game inbox almost immediately.

Where do I find my TCG Pocket support ID?

You can find the Support ID needed to redeem promotional codes multiple places in the Pokémon TCG Pocket app. Important: Your support ID is not the same thing as your Friend ID.

Method 1

1. Start the application.
2. On the title screen, tap the ≡ icon at the top-right part of the title screen to open the menu.
3. Your Support ID is shown at the bottom part of the menu. You can copy your Support ID if you tap the copy icon to the right of it.

Method 2

1. Inside the app, tap the ≡ icon to open the menu.
2. Your support ID is now visible at the top of the menu. You can copy your Support ID if you tap the copy icon to the right of it.

Method 3

1. Start the application.
2. Your Support ID is now visible in the top-left corner, below the Version number. This code can be manually transcribed.

How do I claim Twitch Drops for Pokémon TCG Pocket?

To get a Twitch drop, you need to watch certain streams on Twitch.tv for a certain amount of time. After you have watched the stream for the specified amount of time, you need to claim the drop. Follow the detailed step-by-step below to redeem your promo code!

TLDR:

1. Twitch account with verified email
2. Watching an eligible stream with Drops enabled
3. Watching for the full time required
4. Claimed the reward in Twitch inventory
5. Connected your Twitch and Trainer Club accounts
6. Retrieved your code from rewards.pokemon.com
7. Redeemed code on gift.pokemontcgpocket.com

Detailed version:

1. Log into or create an account on Twitch.tv. Make sure your Twitch account has a verified email address, or the drops might not work.
2. Refer to the table at the top of the article for details on the currently active gift code campaign. Some Twitch Drops campaigns allow you to watch any eligible creator streaming the game on Twitch, while other campaigns require you to watch only specific creators, and only when they stream Pokémon TCG Pocket. To see the details for the current Twitch Drops campaign, go to the following URL: https://www.twitch.tv/drops/campaigns on PC or tap your Profile, tap "Drops" and then "All Campaigns" on mobile. Then check the "How to Earn the Drop" section after clicking "Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket". To see streams that are currently live and gives drops, go to this URL: https://www.twitch.tv/directory/category/pokemon-trading-card-game-pocket?filter=drops on PC or click the link on "Go to a participating live channel" on mobile. On mobile you will need to manually add a filter for "drops", while on PC you will automatically see only the relevant Pocket streamers with drops currently active.
3. If there is a channel with Twitch Drops for Pocket currently live, click that stream and start watching. You can watch on any device. You will see a small notification at the top of the chat telling you that this channel is a part of a drop campaign. It will say something like "Watch to earn Drops!".
4. After a couple of minutes of watching or idling the stream, you can check your Drops Inventory and look for progress on your drop to confirm that everything is working as intended. Twitch Drop progress may take a few minutes to appear in your inventory, even if you're watching an eligible stream. If you're not seeing any drop progress, try disabling adblockers or using a different browser. Click or tap your profile icon, and you should see your progress right from the menu on PC. On mobile, tap "Drops", and you should see the campaign currently under the heading "In Progress". This will tell you how much longer you need to watch the stream to get the reward. On PC, you can also visit your inventory directly from this URL: https://www.twitch.tv/drops/inventory
5. Once you have watched the channel for the specific amount of time, visit your Twitch Drops inventory again (step 4) and find the reward you have qualified for. Click the "Claim" button to claim the reward. You must click “Claim Now” in your inventory before the drop expires, or you will lose it.
6. If you haven't already, you need to connect your Twitch account with your Pokemon Trainer Club Account. You can do this from the button simply named "Connect" (PC) or "Connect Game Account" (mobile) on the inventory page on Twitch. This will take you to https://rewards.pokemon.com/. On the Pokémon Rewards page, log in to your Pokemon Trainer Club Account. Then, approve that Pokémon Twitch Rewards Program will get access your Trainer Club Account.
7. Still on https://rewards.pokemon.com/, you can now click or tap the button that says "View Inventory".
8. Now, find the latest reward, and click "Show Code". Congratulations, you now have your gift code! But - we still need to redeem this gift code on the Pokémon TCG Pocket gift code redemption page. To do that, simply copy the gift code visible at the bottom of the popup window after you clicked "Show Code". Now follow the URL also shown inside the popup window: https://gift.pokemontcgpocket.com/en/
9. Refer to the guide above (heading: "How to redeem gift codes for Pokémon TCG Pocket") for what to do next and how to find your Support ID. Remember to complete all the steps before the code expires!

Troubleshooting

Gift codes cannot be redeemed in the game app itself. Please visit the Pokémon TCG Pocket redemption website to enter your support ID and gift code. The gift will then be added to your in-game account’s gift box.

• Ensure that the gift code is entered correctly.
• The gift will be added to the gift box in-game. To check if you have already received a gift, open “Gifts” and then select “Claimed.”
• It may take some time for a gift to appear in “Gifts” after you redeem the code on the website. Please wait and check again.

If you are not able to redeem a gift code or if you do not receive a gift, it may be because:

• Your save data has reached the maximum number of gifts you can receive for that gift code.
• The gift code has reached its usage limit.
• The gift code is not valid yet or the gift code expired.

Error messages and solutions

If you received an error when attempting to redeem your gift code, please see the following steps to resolve the issue.

• “Incorrect Support ID”
  • Ensure that you entered a valid Support ID and try again.
• “Incorrect gift code”
  • Check that the gift code is entered correctly and try again.
• “An error has occurred. Please try again later.”
  • Please wait and try again later. This error may appear due to a temporary system error.
• “The gift code has been used already.”
  • Gift codes cannot be used more than once. If you do not remember using the gift code, it may have already been redeemed under a different Support ID.
• “This gift code’s redemption limit has been reached.”
  • The account associated to the Support ID has reached the maximum number of redemptions. Once the redemption limit is reached, even if you enter another gift code from the same campaign, you will not be able to receive additional rewards.
• Please also note that gift codes may have a validity period and an expiration. Your gift code may not be valid yet or it may be expired.

Why didn’t I receive my gift in-game?

After successfully redeeming your gift code, it may take some time for a gift to appear in-game. Please wait and check again. The gift will be added to the gift box in-game.
