Sunday
Sunday is the day. The President of The Pokémon Company Tsunekazu Ishihara will hold a conference at the closing ceremony about the games in Pokémon at 5.30pm Hawaii time. We hope that Pokemon TCG Pocket release date will be announced. Yesterday, the official account shared official visuals of english cards: let’s hope we complete the collection by the end of the event!
Closing ceremony
The trailer below was broadcast during the ceremony.
A new unlisted video of TCG Pocket has surfaced

Saturday
It is unlikely we’ll get other information about Pokémon TCG Pocket until the potential announcement at the closing ceremony on Sunday evening (Monday morning for most people). We’ll keep on uploading fresh visuals as soon as we get them.
"No dates... yet"
… teases the official Pokemon TCG Pocket X account as they share three english visuals of cards available in the demo : Pidgeot, Cubone and Haunter
… later followed by the english art of Articuno ex, Bulbasaur (which we has from the press release) and Gardevoir
… then a batch of mostly water Pokémon: full art Squirtle, Psyduck, Lapras and Snorlax (it can Surf after all!)
Friday
Small corrections and updates based on filmed pack openings
As Twitter videos surface from people at the WC2024 venue, we’re getting additional material, such as Raichu’s English card and details about Greninja’s exact ability (and it’s strong). We’ll continue to update throughout the weekend as more information becomes available.
TCG Pocket is still confirmed for 2024
Not only is the official trailer broadcast in-between games on stream, a card distributed at the event mentions the year of release of TCG Pocket (Reddit)
More revealed cards
Again, thanks to Pokébeach for the work. These cards were opened in various booster packs at the demo booth.
Many familiar artworks like Primeape from Jungle and Kirlia from Cosmic Eclipse (briefly seen in the trailer) are coming back. We also saw Cubone but no clean visual to provide you with so far. Check on Twitter for live videos.
From these videos, we haven’t seen another immersive artwork yet. It’s possible that they’re exclusive to ☆☆☆ cards. We also learn that depending on the Pokémon of the cover artwork of the pack, you can get different cards which confirms a guess we had for TCG Pocket.
No TCG Pocket gameplay at the demo booth (Pokebeach)
There’s only booster pack opening at the TCG Pocket demo. Not very surprising but certainly disappointing
More news "about the games" on Sunday
President of The Pokémon Company Tsunekazu Ishihara announced more news about the games at the closing ceremony on Sunday. Is it a thinly-veiled reference to Pokemon TCG Pocket ?
Demo station at the World Championship
The demo setups are ready in the venue at Honolulu. The official account mentions a “limited demo” : what will it be limited to? Only pack opening? A mock battle?
Be the first to experience the thrill of opening digital packs in #PokemonTCGPocket live from the 3rd floor at #PokemonWorlds 2024! This invitation is extended to all attendees at the event. Swing by and try out our limited demo. You never know what you might pull!

These previews all but confirm multiple speculations that we had :
- The set will be heavily focused on generation 1
- The way ♢ and ☆ rarity works : every ☆ card has a ♢ counterpart. It kinda mimicks the TCG prints, in that the game is accessible to everybody but a premium exists for collectors and fashionable players to embelish their deck
- Another batch of artworks is used from the TCG (Metapod and Clefairy). The Drive Off ability is also a very popular and strong one in TCG, first appearing on Swellow
