After an excruciating wait, Dragon-types finally get their first main expansion Pokémon ex with Dragonite ex. With a solid 180 HP and no exploitable Weakness, Dragonite ex only has one attack, but it’s a big one. Giga Impact deals 180 damage, enough to knock out nearly everything in the metagame, save for a few Pokémon ex equipped with Giant Cape.
The attack costs just 3 Energy, but here’s the twist: it requires two different Energy types, and , and Dragonite ex can’t attack on the following turn after using it. However, with more ways to accelerate multi-type Energy and an increasing number of switching options in TCG Pocket, Dragonite ex is gaining serious traction. Its raw power and resilience make it a real threat in the current metagame.
