Oricorio Deck

Oricorio was introduced into Celestial Guardians as an escape valve against ex-heavy decks, both to answer existing Big Basic strategies and to pre-emptively deal with Stage 2 Pokémon ex such as Solgaleo ex or Charizard ex (SR). Its Safeguard ability renders it immune to any attack damage from Pokémon ex; while this doesn't quite make it totally impervious, as it can take damage from Status or Abilities, this is usually enough to stifle most ex-heavy strategies.

While Oricorio functions quite well as a wall even in decks that don't use the energy necessary for its Zzzap, One-Point Electric strategies can also utilize Oricorio to set up a lategame cleanup Pokémon, meaning it can not only wall, but also race opposing ex Pokémon.
