Pidgeot ex is probably one of the best options for the late game sweep. With 170 HP, it can survive almost everything that the opponent can hit it with. Its 80 base damage attack can two shot almost any big opposing Pokemon waiting to fight it. And that's assuming that your opponent has no benched Pokemon. With the opponent's bench full and a Giovanni in hand, this bird can one shot Mewtwo ex. Paired with Druddigon's Rough Skin damage, your Pidgeot ex can revenge KO a Pokemon that started with 170 HP. Also, one of the more subtle things about the strength of Pidgeot ex is that by disincentivizing playing out Pokemon to their bench, your opponent may be weak to Sabrina! So we need to leverage that as well.

- Pidgeot ex has some of the best stats in the game, but its move into the active zone needs to be timed well. This means that it relies very heavily on retreat cards. Some archetypes will prey on this or be able to attack your bench.
- As a flying type, Pidgeot ex is weak to Electric types, and Pikachu ex is a very common deck at the top of the meta.
