The release of a new mini-set, Secluded Springs, brings fresh content to the game. Despite its smaller size, Secluded Springs brings some exciting 'game-firsts' to the table. Additionally, alongside the new set, we're also seeing the first signs of a major shift as the A series begins to phase out in preparation for the upcoming B series, with the launch of Mega cards for the game's first-year anniversary. This overview highlights the most interesting findings from the latest datamines.
Promo Premium Shop Pikachu Leaving Store
Promo Pikachu, a fixture in the Premium Shop since the game's soft launch in September 2024, is leaving the store. The deadline to exchange premium tickets for Pika is November 1, 2025. A new promo card will take its place, signaling the end of the A-series promo cards and the beginning of the B-series (which has also been confirmed in various leaks).
First Baby Gold Crown Card Announced
The crown card of this set is Mantyke, a 30 HP "Baby" Pokémon card. Given the strong focus on -type support in this set, its selection as the crown card isn't entirely a surprise. The developers have a tendency to choose unconventional gold cards in mini-sets, such as Eevee Bag, Nihilego and also Poké Ball, but a baby as a crown is still a game-first for Pocket!

Upcoming Phanpy promo card reuses artwork from Triumphant Light
The upcoming Chansey Pick event, scheduled for release in approximately two weeks, will feature Miltank and Phanpy. A notable and unexpected detail is that the Phanpy card's artwork is identical to a card released just six months ago (A2a-37). Originally noted by Reddit user OkInfluence7081, the community has expressed disbelief over this, calling it "lazy" and "lame". While reusing art from the physical TCG is a common practice in Pokémon Pocket, this is the first known instance of a card's artwork being recycled from a prior Pocket set.

First Water-Type Mass Outbreak Event
Mirroring the mini-set's theme, a Water-Type Mass Outbreak event will run from September 25 to October 1, 2025. This will be the first event of its kind, and it will feature Suicune ex from set A4a and Primarina ex from set A3b. Both cards will be available as Rare Picks and will receive exclusive flairs.
